Milica Gardašević, born on September 28, 1998, in Novi Sad, is one of the most successful and consistent Serbian athletes today. Beginning her career at AK Vojvodina, she dedicated her athletic journey to the long jump, a discipline in which she regularly sets new personal and national milestones.

Her international career caught global attention in 2017 when, just before her 19th birthday, she won the gold medal at the European U20 Championships in Grosseto, Italy. This early success built a strong foundation for her professional path, leading to a bronze medal at the European U23 Championships in Sweden (2019) and a gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in Oran (2022).

She cemented her place in the world elite through numerous appearances at prestigious Diamond League meetings and by consistently delivering performances beyond the 6.80-meter mark. The pinnacle of her career form arrived in July 2023, when an incredible leap of 6.91m at the Balkan Championships in Kraljevo brought her a gold medal and direct qualification for a historic spot at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

In the same year she became an Olympian, Milica made history by claiming Serbia's first overall world indoor title by winning the prestigious World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold (2024) series.
